Bladetech Hockey focuses on two attributes: innovation and quality. They are the first company to introduce “flexible” hockey blades that help increase performance with added health benefits.
This patented technology is known as the "Flex Force Advantage". Thanks to the unique blade design, the front portion of the Bladetech replacement skate blades flex up into the holder of your skates, stores the vertical energy, and then releases it when you extend your stride. This innovation will increase your acceleration and help you skate up to an average of 5% faster!
BLADES MADE FOR THE PROS
Bladetech Hockey Blades can be found in most NHL teams, KHL, DEL, lower overseas leagues and the Swiss League.
Not only do the Bladetech replacement skate blades increase your speed and acceleration, but they also help reduce lower body injuries. Thanks to the flex of the blade into the holder, it absorbs the large-impact forces while skating and reduces pressure on your ankles, knees, and hip joints. This will help you to be more efficient on the ice and allow you to play longer!
Bladetech replacement skate blades are made with the highest quality steel available, extending the length of time between sharpening by almost double.
*All blades are sold as a pair. Hockey blades are uncut and in a "factory" profile.

The story begins in 2013...
HOW CAN WE MAKE SKATES BETTER?
The Story
Jeff Azzolin, a University of Waterloo Engineering student analyzed the hockey skate market over the past 2 decades and quickly realized the major developments in technology were only found in the skate boot itself. The blade holders and blades have stayed relatively the same, no matter if you were paying $100 or $1,000.
He was driven by the question: "How can we make the ENTIRE skate better?". Jeff thought that he could create a better skate by looking at the relationship between the blade holder and the blade itself.
Taking inspiration from many sports technologies, especially speed skating's CLAP SKATE, he created the first prototype: a spring-loaded blade holder. A few iterations later led to the creation of the Flex Force Advantage, the only flexible hockey skate blades scientifically proven to give skaters a speed boost.
The rest, as they say, is history...
